Can't afford the mac you've wanted? Fake it!

To all those mac users who are stuck using PCs because they can't afford it, or their custom applications won't run on mac... I'm sorry. But there is still hope for you yet! With this new mod, you can still be on your Windows XP operating system, but have the feel and look of a mac running OS X.
My Mac:

OS XP: (Windows Mac)

In comparing the two, you see a few differences, the Windows XP users will still have their tool bar, but it will be on the top of the screen. Also, you notice that the Windows has the computer icon on the left of the screen as oppose to the Mac's "right justified" icons. Also, the "Mac mod" for windows will have the trash can icon in the dock at the bottom of the screen, thus u don't need the windows default trash icon that will still be stuck on your desktop. Why have too trashcans? Here's a link where you can make a simple reg edit to get rid of the pesky icon.

Now I'm sure you're anxious to learn where can you get this wonderful XP mod!

It's a self-installing executable file, so that parts easy. Also, if you're concerned about installing it and wishing you haven't, no worries. The mod application comes with an uninstall program, also you can go into your control panel and under "Add/Remove Programs" you can also get rid of this mod there. However, the little reg edit, I suggest that you export the portion you are about to change, thus if you mess up or decide you don't want it anymore, you can simply import you reg settings. Good luck, I'm sure you'll be happy.

The Planet of The Apes A Reality?

Scientists recently implanted human brain cells in monkey fetuses hoping to have a better understanding of stem cells. They expect to learn from this experiment, "Why human brain cells do not work in monkies." However, if the brain cells do work, what happens? Do we now have a smarter monkey species? Also, what do you do with these kind of monkies? Do you allow them to breed? Do you just kill them off? ... and if so, is this another ethical situation at hand? Scientists claim that doing stem cell research as this, they will be able to solve brain diseases (such as Alzheimer). Does the reward of curing Alzheimer really out weigh this moral delema?

But there's one thing I have to say about this whole situation...... MONKEY BUTTLERS!!!

New Camo Technology

I'm sure a lot of people have seen this on news and other various places. But there are new advances in technology to actually make you appear invisible. It's quite interesting. It takes the picture behind you and projects it in front of you so that anyone looking at you will see right threw you thus appearing invisible. Check out the little video... it's just cool

Google

Sometimes I find it interesting to go to www.google.com and search "google" and see what results come up. While doing this, I found a site titled "google hacks" and I had to check it out. There's some really cool google tricks, but I'd have to say my favorite is "Poetry in Translation." This uses Google's translation tool to translate sentences to German, then French, then back to German, and finally in English. You get some interesting results. I tried "What light threw yonder window break? It is the east and Juliette is the Sun." and my results were "Did what the light throw yonder with cut of window? It is is and the Juliette is the sun."

Here's a poem I wrote (recently posted on this blog) and below are my translation results:
As the sun rises, and the lilies grow
my love for you will be as so:
Stronger than the cedar trees
yet gentler than the evening breeze

Brighter than a shining star
Yet longing when you are far.
Larger than the vastness of space
Yet close enough to feel your embrace

Sweeter than the morning dew
And I'll always will be true to you
Oh to hear you say one more time
"I love you, and you are mine"

Translation:
While the sun increases and Lilies raise my love for you are like as follows: More strongly than Zederbaeume however more easily than luminous Abendbrise than a brilliant star however Longing, if you are broad. More largely than that vastness the sector but rather narrowly, your willt, believe the cables of morning and I cover you more gently am always you of Oh- aiming at hearing, another mark "me likes precisely too say you, and you are my"

Also on the "Google Hacks" site I'd recomend "Google Talk" as something worth wasting your time on.
